Great food, great service, fantastic salad bar. By chance we ended up being there for the “Travel Channel” episode premier that featured the restaurant – it was great! We were traveling from Raleigh NC and in the excitement of the show premier accidentally left our credit card used for payment. I called and left a message with them and canceled the card. They were nice enough to call me and let me know they had it and had cut it up as I had requested. Great service, will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

We’ve been coming here for quite a while and are slowly working our way through the entire menu. So far we have loved everything. Last night we finally got around to trying the One Trip Salad Bar. Well, it’s really not a typical one trip salad bar; it’s a Three Course Salad Bar. We started off with soup; cheese n’ broccoli and Texas chili respectively. It was awesome. Then we each had loaded baked potatoes. I even topped mine with more chili. The last course was an awesome salad with pasta, pepperoni, nuts, bacon bits, fruit and the kitchen sink. Whoever said the salad bar is a rip off, must not like vegetables, fruit or nuts. It was so tasty and we will have it again for sure.

The waitress and the manager were super. We had the all you can eat salad bar, soup, and baked potato bar. It had a great selection and you could choose between sweet potato or russet. I decided to go for dessert and the German Chocolate Cake was to die for. The cake was moist and the icing was perfect balance of nuts and coconut. Add the fresh cup of coffee and it was the perfect end to a great meal. In addition to the great service, the love music was great. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the entertainers name, but she played the perfect mix of hits and she has talent. I could have listened to her for hours. We will definitely go to The Forge again.

We stumbled across this gem, and we are already planning our next visit to Bandera just so we can eat here again! Excellent food, service etc. I highly recommend the New Orleans catfish! And my daughter ate gravy for the first time in her life, via the chicken fried chicken!

I was there yesterday on one heck of a busy day! Bandera Madre Gras! The staff and owners were very pleasant and on top of things, the crawfish boil was one of the best I ever had! The drinks were made prefect, i truly loved my blue Hawaiians, asked for 2 shots, let the bartender choose, made us shots called Scooby Snack and they were amazing! We will be back.

My wife and i had our wedding and reception here February 18th. The wonderful owners, Executive Chef, and staff were absolutely amazing! They were quite accommodating, the service was excellent, and the glorious food was not only beautifully presented but it was all so incredibly delicious! Thank y’all so much for making our special day absolutely perfect!
